What do I need to get started with my build?

It is always a good idea to have some idea of your budget, your layout and your aesthetic. Once you have property, we can work with you on house placement and even home design selection. That’s it! At Ferree Construction, we will acquire all permitting requirements, and deliver your home turnkey.

Do I need to make all of my selections ahead of the build?

Yes. In order to operate the most efficiently, we require all selections to be made prior to breaking ground. This allows us to see the entire picture of what you wish to build and leaves nothing to surprise down the road. It allows us to deliver a quality product in a timely fashion.

What happens if we change our minds mid project?

Things happen, and changes are made. We understand that. At Ferree Construction we do our best to meet your needs and remain flexible to accommodate mid project changes.

Does your company work with bank financing?

Yes we are well versed in traditional construction loan procedure. We have worked with lending institutions many times.

Are you insured?

Yes, at Ferree Construction we carry full insurance, as do any subcontractors that work for us. Both workman’s compensation and general liability insurance. Additionally each project will carry builders risk insurance to protect against any unforeseen damages or incidence during construction before your homeowners policy would begin.

Are you licensed?

Yes, we have been a licensed construction company for 24 years (2001) and we carry the highest category of licensure (unlimited license) allowing us to build homes at any price point.

What kind of warranty will you provide?

We provide a 1 year warranty against our craftsmanship. At 11 months, we schedule a walkthrough to discuss any claims against that warranty and address them before the period is up.

What is a cost plus contract?

We build based on cost of the project plus a percentage or fixed fee. You know what our builders fee will be going into the project, and all of our invoicing is transparent. We work diligently to get you the best prices available and our fee stays the same.

HOw long does a project take?

Each project is unique, and permitting can vary. Some projects can be as fast as 3 months, while complex builds on larger homes can take a project past the year mark. A standard new construction can be completed in 7-10 months.
